Install on macOS

Download the right installer for your Mac chip, drag it to Applications, open it past the first warning, activate a key or a trial, and install new versions.

  1. Pick the right file for your chip

    Open the Apple menu, choose About This Mac and read the Chip line (Apple Silicon) or the Processor line (Intel).

    EduFlow runs on macOS 12 or later.

  2. Install into Applications

    Double-click the .zip file you just downloaded to unzip it (Safari usually does this for you in Downloads), which gives you the EduFlow app. Drag it into the Applications folder.

  3. First launch

    The installer is not signed yet with an Apple certificate, so the first time you open it macOS blocks it and says it cannot check the app. You only do this once:

    1. Open EduFlow from Applications. macOS says the app cannot be opened; click Done.
    2. Open System Settings › Privacy & Security, scroll down to Security, click Open Anyway next to the line about EduFlow, then enter your Mac password.
    3. Click Open in the dialog that asks again.

    On macOS 14 and earlier there is a shorter way: hold the Control key, click EduFlow in Applications, choose Open, then click Open again.

    Only open files downloaded from the EduFlow Download page. To make sure a file was not altered, compare its SHA-512 checksum with the one on that page.

  4. Activate or start a trial

    On the Welcome screen:

    1. If you have a license key from your school: enter the key, which starts with EDU- followed by groups of 4 characters, and click Kích hoạt (Activate).
    2. If you do not have a license key yet: choose Đăng ký dùng thử (Request a trial), fill in your full name, email, phone number and school or unit name, then click Gửi đơn (Send request). When Agentra has trial auto-approval turned on, the computer receives a trial key right away; otherwise the request waits for approval and the app activates itself once the request is approved.

    A trial key works on 1 computer, with a trial budget and an expiry date.

  5. Choose a work profile

    The Chào thầy cô đến với EduFlow (Welcome to EduFlow) dialog asks which level you work at. Tick at least one profile: Giáo viên phổ thông (K-12 teacher), Giảng viên đại học (University lecturer) or Chuyên viên đảm bảo chất lượng (Quality assurance officer). A profile only pins the tools of the levels you pick to the top of the sidebar, every level still opens, and you can change it in Cài đặt (Settings), on the Hồ sơ làm việc (Work profile) card.

  6. Get new versions

    The current version does not update itself inside the app. When you need a newer version, go to the EduFlow Download page, download the latest installer and install it as in the steps above; your projects live in the app's own data folder, separate from the install folder.

  7. Uninstall

    Quit EduFlow, then drag EduFlow from Applications to the Trash. Project data lives in the app's own data folder, separate from the install folder.
