Activate a key or start a trial

Before you start

The computer needs an Internet connection while you activate. The key comes from your school or from Agentra and starts with EDU-. If you have no key yet, send a trial request from inside the app; nobody has to email you a key first.

   Activate with your school key

   Open EduFlow for the first time and the Chào mừng tới EduFlow (Welcome to EduFlow) screen appears with two side-by-side options: Nhập key (Enter key) and Đăng ký dùng thử (Request a trial).

   1. Choose Nhập key (Enter key).
   2. Paste the whole key into the Key field. The app tidies it for you: it drops spaces and stray dashes, turns lowercase into uppercase, reads O as 0 and I or L as 1, and adds EDU if it is missing.
   3. Click Kích hoạt (Activate).

   When it works, the app says activation succeeded, shows the unit name and opens the home screen. If the key is wrong, it stays in the field so you can fix it group by group.

   Send a trial request

   No key yet? Choose Đăng ký dùng thử (Request a trial) and fill in the form:

   Click Gửi đơn (Send request). The app sends along the machine ID, computer name, operating system and app version, and no project data. When Agentra has automatic trial approval switched on, the computer gets a trial key at once and goes straight into the app without you typing a key.

   If this computer already received a trial key, the app says so and shows Nhập key trả phí (Enter a paid key); each computer gets one trial key.

   While your request is waiting for approval

   If it is not approved automatically, the screen shows Đơn đang chờ duyệt (Request waiting for approval) with a request code. You do not need to do anything else:

   • The app checks again every 5 minutes while this screen is open, and once each time you open the app. To check right away, click Kiểm tra lại (Check again).
   • When the request is approved, the app picks up the key by itself, activates and opens the home screen.
   • If the request is not approved, Đơn chưa được duyệt (Request not approved) gives the reason. Click Gửi đơn mới (Send a new request) to fill it in again.
   • If the app says the key was issued but this computer did not receive it, contact your administrator to have it issued again.

   Closing the app while you wait does not lose the request: the app keeps the request code on the computer and checks again the next time you open it.

What a trial key includes

A trial key runs on 1 computer, with a trial budget and an end date. On the home screen the app shows the days left and the budget left on the key. The budget of a trial key is in blocking mode: once it is used up, AI jobs pause.

When a key expires, the app shows a warning banner on every screen and pauses AI jobs. Work that runs on the computer, such as opening projects, editing artifacts, running gates and exporting files, still works. To keep using AI jobs, enter a paid key from your school or Agentra as described in the next section.

In Cài đặt (Settings), the Key và thiết bị (Key and device) card shows the unit, the key type (trial or paid), the status, the number of devices in use, the end date and the name of this computer. The app stores only the last 4 characters of the key, so there is no way to show the full key again.

Changing a key or moving to another computer

Changing the key on the same computer (for example from a trial to your school key): open Cài đặt (Settings), the Key và thiết bị (Key and device) card, click Nhập key khác (Enter another key), paste the key into Key mới (New key) and click Kích hoạt (Activate). If the new key belongs to another unit, the app asks you to confirm; click Tiếp tục (Continue) to switch. Projects, artifacts and job history stay as they were.

Moving to another computer: install EduFlow and activate the key on the new computer. Each key has a maximum number of devices; once it is full, the app says the key has used all the devices it allows. Then ask your administrator, through Agentra, to revoke an old device and activate again. Signing out on the old computer does not free the slot: the app keeps the machine ID so the next activation costs no extra device, and the slot comes back only when an administrator revokes the device.
